Provide a rationale for your responsePEer responseThe results from my self-regard questionnaire scored a 25 out of 40. When sharing my results with a colleague, she disagreed with my results. She responded that she saw me as having higher scores on many of the questions that were asked on the questionnaire and that my overall rating should have been higher. She saw many outstanding qualities that I did not recognize within myself. She viewed me as an optimistic, assertive, and displaying positive behavior regularly. My interpretation of the results deemed truer to myself. I have always been hard on myself especially when it comes to making mistakes, but I use my mistakes as motivation to be a better person. I do not capitalize on mistakes or flaws because I know it creates negativity and interrupts my safe space. Viewing these results gave me a reality check and assisted me in receiving the perspective I needed. One way that I could use the data to assists with self-improvement is by addressing conflict head-on. I have always been a non-confrontational person because I like peace and unity. Learning to resolve conflict head-on can help me with being assertive without fear of backlash and division. Ultimately it will give me the confidence I need to face conflict and be able to feel positive about the outcome.
